How to use
- Enter the landing URL(s).
- Fill in source, medium and campaign (term and content are optional).
- Copy the links or export CSV; saved presets keep naming consistent.
Worked example
https://example.com/pricing?ref=nav#plans with source newsletter, medium email, campaign oct-launch becomes https://example.com/pricing?ref=nav&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=oct-launch#plans.
Supported formats and limits
| Input | URL(s) and campaign values |
|---|---|
| Output | Tagged URLs, CSV |
| Engine | URL API with parameter merging (existing query strings are kept) |
Limitations
- UTM values are visible to anyone who sees the link.
- A utm_ parameter you set replaces the one already in the URL; utm_ parameters you leave empty are kept as they were.
- Only http and https links are accepted, one per line in bulk mode.
Questions
What happens if a URL already has UTM parameters?
Any utm_ parameter you are setting is removed from the original query and your new value is added at the end, and the tool tells you which ones it replaced. utm_ parameters you leave empty (for example an existing utm_content) stay in the link unchanged.
Are other query parameters and the #fragment kept?
Yes. Non-UTM parameters stay exactly as typed, including their encoding, and the #fragment stays at the end. ?ref=nav#plans becomes ?ref=nav&utm_source=...&utm_campaign=oct-launch#plans.
How do I keep campaign names consistent?
Turn on normalization to trim values, lowercase them and replace spaces with hyphens, so "Oct Launch" becomes oct-launch. Save a set of values as a preset in this browser to reuse it later.
