Privacy policy

The short version: your files and text stay on your device.

Last updated 4 October 2026

Who is responsible

This site is operated by M. Mujtaba Munner. Contact: contact@toolsdocks.com.

Your files and text

toolsdocks is a static website with no application server. Tools process the files and text you give them inside your browser tab. We do not receive, store or see them. When you close the tab, anything in memory is gone.

What is stored on your device

Some tools keep data in your browser's local storage so it is there next time. It never leaves your device:

  • Your saved tools (favourites) and recently used tools.
  • Drafts and planner data you create (for example text drafts, budgets, boards, habits, time entries).
  • Your cookie and consent choices.
  • Open-source AI model files, cached by your browser after you use a tool that needs them.

You can remove all of it by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Hosting

Like every website, the pages are delivered by a hosting provider that receives standard technical information when your browser requests a page (such as your IP address, the page address and your browser type). This happens before any tool runs and does not include your files or text.

Tools that contact public services

These tools send a small, specific request from your browser to a named public service. Each tool page shows the same notice.

  • Device-to-device file sharing: Google public STUN server (optional): Only when you allow connections across networks: your device's public IP address, so the two devices can find a direct route. File contents are never sent to it.
  • Shared clipboard between devices: Google public STUN server (optional): Only when you allow connections across networks: your device's public IP address, so the two devices can find a direct route. Clipboard contents are never sent to it.
  • Background remover: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (MODNet about 12 MB, or BiRefNet-lite about 109 MB) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your images are never sent.
  • Automatic subtitle generator: Hugging Face: Downloads of the open-source Whisper model files when you ask for them. No audio, video or text is sent.
  • Audio transcription: Hugging Face: Downloads of the open-source Whisper model files when you ask for them. No audio or text is sent.
  • Text-to-speech generator: Hugging Face: Downloads of the open-source model and voice files when you ask for them. No text or audio is sent.
  • Font pairing previewer: Google Fonts: Requests for the stylesheet (fonts.googleapis.com) and font files (fonts.gstatic.com) of the fonts you preview; Google receives your IP address and the font names. Your sample text is not sent.
  • Broken-link checker: External sites your pages link to (only if you click “Check reachability”): One no-cors request per external URL, sent from your browser directly to that site. No file contents are sent; the browser hides the response, so only “responded” or “network error” can be reported.
  • DNS record lookup: Cloudflare DNS over HTTPS (1.1.1.1): The domain name and record type you look up, from your browser. Google Public DNS (fallback or by choice): The domain name and record type, only if Cloudflare is unreachable or you choose Google.
  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC checker: Cloudflare DNS over HTTPS (1.1.1.1): The domain name and record type you look up, from your browser. Google Public DNS (fallback or by choice): The domain name and record type, only if Cloudflare is unreachable or you choose Google.
  • Internet speed test: Cloudflare speed test (speed.cloudflare.com): Random test data to and from Cloudflare. Cloudflare sees your IP address, as with any website.
  • Grammar and spelling assistant: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (Flan-T5-base, about 279 MB, only if you use the optional grammar model) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.
  • Paraphrasing and tone editor: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (SmolLM2-360M-Instruct, about 390 MB, or 276 MB with WebGPU) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.
  • Long-text summarizer: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (DistilBART-CNN-6-6, about 286 MB, only for the AI summary) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.
  • Text translator: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (one Opus-MT model of about 100 to 130 MB per language direction) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.
  • Meeting transcript to notes and action items: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (only for the optional AI summary (SmolLM2-360M-Instruct, about 390 MB) and recording transcription (Whisper base.en, about 78 MB)) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.
  • Plain-language explainer: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (SmolLM2-360M-Instruct, about 390 MB, or 276 MB with WebGPU, only for the optional rewrite) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.

Your text and files are never sent.
  • Image alt-text generator: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (Florence-2-base-ft, about 230 MB) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.
  • Document question answering: Hugging Face: Only after you press Download model: requests for the model files (all-MiniLM-L6-v2, about 23 MB, and DistilBERT SQuAD, about 66 MB) from huggingface.co and its CDN, which see your IP address. Your text and files are never sent.

Tools that use open-source AI models (13 tools, such as background remover, automatic subtitle generator, audio transcription) download model files from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) the first time you use them. Hugging Face receives a normal download request (including your IP address); your content is not sent.

Advertising

The site shows clearly labelled display ads from Google AdSense. Ads are requested only after you allow them in the consent banner. Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads; personalised ads are used only if you allow them. Tool pages where you work with your own files or text never request or show ads. Change your choice on the cookie settings page.

Google and other advertising vendors

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
  • How Google uses information from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a consent message before personalised ads are shown. Without consent, only non-personalised or limited ads may be shown.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used. It runs with Google Consent Mode: until you allow analytics cookies in the consent banner, it sets no cookies and sends only cookieless pings (page address without query string, browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address by Google). The contents of your files and text are never sent. Change your choice on the cookie settings page.

Your rights

Because your files and text never reach us, we hold no personal data about you beyond what our hosting provider and Google receive as described above. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its processing. For data held by Google, use the links above or your Google account settings. For anything else, contact us at contact@toolsdocks.com.

Children

The site is a general-purpose tool collection intended for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes too.
