How to use
- Paste text.
- Add rules (or import a CSV of find, replace pairs).
- Review the per-rule match counts and copy the result.
Worked example
Rule colour → color and the regex rule (\d{2})/(\d{2})/(\d{4}) → $3-$2-$1 turn “colour on 05/03/2026” into “color on 2026-03-05”.
Supported formats and limits
| Input | Text, Rules as CSV (find,replace) |
|---|---|
| Output | Text |
| Engine | Sequential rule application with regex validation |
Limitations
- Rules run in order, so a later rule can change the output of an earlier one.
Questions
In what order do the rules run?
From top to bottom. Each rule runs on the output of the previous one, so a later rule can change text an earlier rule inserted. Reorder or disable rules to control this.
Which regular expression features are supported?
JavaScript regular expressions with the g, m and u flags, and $1, $<name>, $& and $$ in the replacement. In plain rules $ has no special meaning. An invalid pattern shows its error and is skipped.
How do case and whole-word options work?
Rules are case-sensitive unless you turn that off. Whole word only matches when the text is not part of a longer word, using Unicode letters and digits, so it also works for accented words.
