Questions
Should I turn on browser voice processing?
It applies the browser's echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain, which helps for speech in a noisy room or on a call setup. Leave it off to record the microphone as it is, for example for music.
Which download format is smallest?
The original recording in the browser's own format (WebM/Opus or M4A), compressed at about 64 kb/s: roughly 1 MB for 2 minutes. The same memo as 16-bit 48 kHz mono WAV is about 11.5 MB.
